Frequently asked questions
Yes. Tendiesbot integrates with Alpaca Markets for trade execution. You'll need to create a free Alpaca account (US residents only) and link it during onboarding. Alpaca has no account minimums.
Absolutely. You can edit your bot's directive at any time. Changes take effect on the next trading cycle. Your bot will not automatically close existing positions when you update its directive — it will simply apply the new rules going forward.
Tendiesbot never holds your money. Your funds are held in your Alpaca brokerage account, which is SIPC-insured up to $500,000. We are a technology platform — we execute trades on your behalf through the Alpaca API, but we have no custody of your assets.
Currently, Tendiesbot supports US equities (stocks) and options traded on US exchanges via Alpaca Markets. Crypto trading is not supported at this time. Extended hours trading depends on your Alpaca account settings.
If you downgrade or cancel, you retain access to Free plan features (1 bot) until the end of your billing period. Your bots above the Free limit will be paused — not deleted. Upgrade again to resume them anytime. Your funds and brokerage account are completely unaffected.
Tendiesbot is for anyone who wants to invest in the stock market but doesn't want to sit at a screen all day. You don't need to know how to code. That said, the better you understand markets and investing concepts, the better strategies you'll be able to define. Available to US persons 18 and older.
